Lili's never been the heroic type. Lili's always been the damsel in distress, left cowering in fear when she has to be protected by another girl even younger than her. Lili's always been the one issuing commands from the back, watching unflinchingly when her bodyguards take care of any assailants without concern because she was always the one that would be protected.
Not today, apparently.
Even if Giorno isn't reacting, Lili is. She moves forward just as the other lunges and screams, his large, sweeping movements obvious. It's why she can react in time to rush in front of Giorno, raising her sword to meet the other's with a resounding clang of metal against metal. Lili's other hand is raised against the flat back of her blade, her arms shaking from the impact and from trying to uphold her strength against someone obviously much bigger than her. Though she's braced against the ground as much as she can, she still can't help but be pushed back.
[ It would be rude to assume that she wouldn't have jumped in the way for him but at the same time, given what she said earlier and her actions, he didn't put a lot of stock into her actually getting in his way. (Not to mention he was ready to take care of it anyway. Still, she did take the blow for him (sort of) and he's grateful. ]
Thank you.
[ Perhaps not the words she might expect to come out of him, but Giorno doesn't move but instead walk towards Lili and the assailant with calm determination. He can see the way her arms are trembling clearly not used to the sort of thing, just as he suspected, and places a hand onto her arm.
What happens next may not be seen by Lili depending on her abilities in regard to the supernatural. If she's sensitive, she'll see his Stand, Gold Experience, immediately throw a punch to their attacker, knocking them back. If she's just a regular person what she'll see is basically Giorno giving them a mean look before they go flying across the room. ]
The mean look being strong enough to send a person flying startles her, makes her jump right along with the hand on her arm and it's a miracle that the sword didn't drop right out of her hands. Or maybe the fact that she would sooner injure herself than let anything happen to a sword in her possession. Regardless, she's... not sure what to make of what just happened.
Her arms are still weak and even though she's instinctively pulling away from Giorno's touch, she's just mystified.]
[ So, she couldn't see Gold Experience. Giorno doesn't say anything or even try to really explain his ability to her and instead just calmly composes himself, as if he really lose any composure to begin with. ]
This is the reason why I didn't pick a weapon; I didn't need one. [ The casualness of his voice might be just the topping on this metaphorical cake of what all just occurred. But to explain Gold Experience to someone who could not see them would take up too much time that they didn't have. The commotion got the attention to some other unpleasant NPCs and Giorno makes grimaces before turning to Lili. ]
We should leave before more come.
[ He'll hold a hand out for Lili to take. He hasn't forgotten how she didn't want to be coddled or looked after but given how shaken up she looks maybe it would be best if they kept closer? Still, she did shy away from his touch so he gives her the option. ]
[ . . . . so he's one of those crazy people with powers too? Lili has a passing moment of shame - why am I so useless? - that she shakes off if only because he's right. They need to leave, particularly when some of the others have noticed them.
She glances down at his hand and.... looks confusedly up at him.]
What are you doing? Just run already!
[You must be at least a Level 11 Friend to unlock Handholding.]
Well, Giorno doesn't take any offense to it and merely retracts his hand and shoves it into his pocket. It was just a gesture of comfort if she felt necessary though seeing that it didn't register... Guess she was just going to push herself further.
Hopefully not too further. ]
I didn't want to leave you behind. [ He'll give a final glance at the incoming mob before making a run towards where he figures an exit would be? ]
Do you have any idea where an exit could be or what to look for?
... Which always dangerously borders on way too much. So there's his move to run and even if he says that he doesn't want her to be left behind, it's kind of just economical. So she'll run after him, frowning.]
Probably outside - there can be a sign or a portal of some sort. They appear in a lot of different ways...!
[ Don't think he could ever criticize her for pushing herself too hard because Giorno is literally no better at that. Granted, it's not something that would be easy to picked up on seeing how calmly and casually he treats things.
Maybe one day they can both call each other out for how raged they actually run themselves. One day... ]
I'll keep an eye out for something different then.
[ Which is kind of vague but it's the best he has to work with. Just hopefully something turns up before the mob catches up with them. Well, first things first, getting to the exit of this place. ]
giorno means day.

What do you think you're doing?! Move!
SO WHAT IF IT DOES DON'T MOCK ME
Thank you.
