Walk...? How do you propose that we exit? Do these doors even -
[Open! Do these doors even open is what Lili definitely wants to ask, but that sure is the train screwing them over ONCE AGAIN. It's taking off like a rocket and whereas Kashuu got the pleasure of landing on empty seats, Lili does not.
Instead there's some flailing on her part before she goes to crash land right into Kashuu because she stood up like a curious MORON.
At least it looks like the train doesn't seem to have any intention of stopping again any time soon. Rather, it's picking up speed.
And then more speed. And even more speed after that. Uh.]
[OW, LILI!!! Even if that didn't actually hurt at all... He just reflexively complains. He didn't even fall over?! He does stumble into a row of seats though, and considering the fact that the train is gaining more and more speed, it's hard for him to catch his footing again.
HM.
Just gonna glance out that window...]
—Um?! Oh my god, I think the train is broken.
[If only that revelation had come like before they stepped onto the train, wow.]
[whAT DO YOU MEAN OW, SHE DOESN'T WEIGH THAT MUCH, YOU JERK. But if Kashuu's having trouble catching his footing there's no way that Lili's going to, instead sort of just stuck being fallen against him and trying not to fall over completely.
[WHO'S THE REAL JERK HERE!! At least Kashuu's making sure she doesn't fall over any further than she already has... This would probably be a cute shoujo moment if it were anyone else, since he's got a hand on her shoulder to keep her steady, but he's 100% more concerned about the fact that they appear to be hurtling toward their potential demise?!]
How d'you stop a broken train?! Are we supposed to jump? Should we break a window and jump—?!
[Only one of these two fleshy squishy morons would survive that at these speeds but okay Kashuu.]
[Listen they've got solid priorities here. Lili's definitely half-clinging onto Kashuu, fingers latched onto the fabric of his coat, even as her brain is trying to think of a way for them to get out of here and
not die.]
You are not making me risk falling from a height like this twice in one day!!
[WHAT HAPPENED TO TRUSTING HIM WITH EVERYTHING, LILI]
There should be another stop, yes? That should at least be less of a height even though it would be a smaller window of opportunity. So we'll just break a window and exit then instead of now—
[IT SURE IS TIME FOR THIS TRAIN TO MAKE A TURN but it's moving so fast that it's definitely unstable and the train itself is shaking
[THERE MIGHT BE SOMEONE OUT THERE... Maybe the pancake look is in vogue on another distant planet...
THAT SAID hoo boy here they go entering the pancake void!! Except the shaking and the increasingly high speeds and the general instability of the train all manage to create enough of a Dangerous Scenario™ to kick Kashuu out of useless flailing moron mode and into "oh wait that's right I'm actually a soldier" mode. MIRACULOUS.
First things first though, he's gotta make sure she has something to cling to that won't send her pitching over again--]
Hold onto the rail, okay?
[Because he sure is planning on moving toward the biggest side window he can find so he can attempt to break it.]
[THAT TOOK WAY TOO LONG TO ACTUALLY GET HIM TO BE USEFUL
Regardless she'll let him take the lead here because - well, listen. She's gotten better at being resourceful and not being a complete waste of space here in Cerealia, but her physical strength is still nonexistent. So she'll nod and then move to hold onto the railing instead, even as the train continues to rattle and rock.
["BE CAREFUL" she says, and then Kashuu immediately rams himself into a window...
It's a little more well-planned than that but THAT'S THE GIST. He doesn't want to risk cutting the back of his leg with a kick so he just full-body throws himself elbow first at the center of the window. It takes a few whacks - and a normal human would probably be dealing with a broken bone by now?! - but eventually the pane of glass cracks and then shatters.
Also fortunately, the train wavers to the side in a way that takes most of the glass out of the train, instead of raining back in on them. GOOD WORK.]
[It's all a bit unfairly impressive. Lili's distressed - but it's not like she doesn't understand what he's doing. There's a wince with every slam against the window pane up until it finally shatters and crashes and -
It's all a bit wild, isn't it?
Of course, that's when Lili's coding decides to bug, just as that word registers in her brain. It's wild, it's cool, and what do you know, Kashuu just so happens to be ancient.
(Newflash: Lili's taste in men sTILL SUCKS.)
So there's a surprised little gasp on her end as she places a hand against her chest? What is this feeling, so sudden? And new?]
K-Kashuu....
[When she does wander over to him, careful and uncertain, for some reason she's gone all starry-eyed and blushy and
anyway Lili is definitely just going to turn more red at that, all sorts of embarrassed and even though one hand rests on his sleeve, the other is resting on her cheek as she tries to find?? words???]
Kashuu is Concerned now, though... Is this how humans act when they're sick?? He wouldn't know! He didn't study up on Sick Human 101 outside of tuberculosis!]
Can't it wait—?!
[Like, at least until they've jumped recklessly out through the window...]
kashuu.
