Honestly? We didn't publicly reveal our powers at the castle, and it didn't make things more difficult than any other part of trial did.
It's mostly just annoying that we have to wait and see what's going to happen for breaking the rule.

The way it was explained to me was that it's in large populations, it gets dangerous. It's sort of like expending energy, and you need to restore that energy before you spend more of it. Spread out the days that you tell people, don't tell more than about three people each week... that's the advice I was given.
And if someone else reveals your power or role for you, it still counts against you. So no one's allowed to gather information just for the sake of it, apparently.

Dick's currently working on figuring out what information there is to gather - but whenever he makes the announcement, I've told him too, so one of us will get around to it. I think it's important enough that even if people didn't share theirs originally, they should be cautious now.
I've already told someone, but I know they wouldn't out me, so it's fine.

Like, the one I had at the castle let me be able to learn a fact about a piece of evidence. It's not like anyone but me or the murderer would be able to tell if I'm telling the truth or not, right?

If all the powers were harmless, then it would be easier to believe that we were just brought here for fun and games. But they weren't.
