( This girl is going to be the toughest nut Soleil has ever had to crack. Someone this socially inept just has be in need of friends, so Soleil continues to weather the bitterness.

Soleil looks at that towel. That just has to go. Getting rid of it would be a community service. And now that Lili is turned away...

Soleil deftly snatches the towel off with a fierce tug and scurries off in the direction of the water. )

But Lili wasn't expecting that and there goes the two and she's immediately doing her best to cover herself with her arms.]

[SHE SAYS, CHASING AFTER SOLEIL EVEN WITH HER ARMS WRAPPED AROUND HERSELF]

( Soleil giggles all the way into the water. She takes offense to 'brute', but the others she doesn't mind so much. After all, she can be very gentle. Nothing brutish about her at all. She comes to a stop a few feet into the water and turns to look at Lili. )

Hehe. Wow! I can't believe you were covering yourself up like that. You're so cute!

[THAT'S NOT A VERY CUTE RESPONSE THOUGH?!

Lili's still going to run over to Soleil and expectantly hold a hand out, even as the other is still wrapped around herself protectively.]

( She keeps that towel to herself and looks from Lili's hand to her face. )

( She waves her hand. They're totally irrelevant. She meets Lili's eyes with her own and a smile. )

[That's really smooth. Again.

And normally Lili would firmly rebuff that - she doesn't care if she's protected - and she especially hates to hear it from men that she doesn't trust. But by default, she favors girls.

So she's... only mildly fussed when it comes from Soleil.]

Hehe. It's a matter of wanting to, not having to.

( Lili's reaction doesn't go unnoticed. Soleil has an eye for this sort of thing and she picks up on the fluster. She considers that a victory and reluctantly hands the towel over. )

Seeing as we're by the water now, let's take a walk.

[The towel is immediately taken and wrapped firmly around herself again. Though she's responding with an annoyed -]

Lili does love the water. Very much. So now that she's in it, she's going to begin walking anyway, n-not that she expects Soleil to come with or anything!]

( Slowly but surely the little victories are piling up. Maybe Soleil will manage to get as far as nabbing a smile by the end of the day. She follows in step beside Lili. )

( She shrugs in defeat. If Lili doesn't mind attention and looks good, then why doesn't she want to walk around practically naked?? Soleil is baffled. )
