I told him he should talk you himself, but he thought I'd get to you first. So he told you about the other powers he learned about?

So only you and Chuuya have confirmed offensive powers thus far...

So far. Like I told him, though, there are a lot of abilities that, if used right, could help sway a battle.

Did you get answers from the others you wanted to talk to?

[she sighs and... leans against the table, crossing her arms]

It's... Well, we knew all of your comrades as well as myself.

Ash asked Beau, Aki, Chuuya, Asch, and Huaisang.

You asked the rest of Dragon Cabin - Dimitri, Zenitsu, Yu - as well as Giyuu and Dick, right? What did Dick say?

I was able to talk to Wei Wuxian, Natalie, Flayn, Akira, Yin Yu, Taako, Shinobu, Magnus, Majima, and Belph.

Everyone I talked to had largely non-offensive and would likely only hurt someone on accident, if at all.

Dick's ability can be used in trials - they told him it stands for "trials and tribulations." He's expecting there to be another one, come Saturday.

Well, isn't that incredibly stupid.

His suggestion was that we can probably put things into four categories: offense, defense, investigative, and one he called chaotic. If he's right, and there's an even number of us with each... we're still missing a lot.

... I don't know if it's that easy. I'm not sure what mine would go in, because it could apply to more than one.

[she could use it for pretty much everything except investigation]

But I'll keep it in mind. Come Monday, a few people have said they'll be willing to tell me about the entirety of their power. So... if we have a better idea of what's out there besides the two of us, we might be able to come up with categories like that.

I've been asking if they affect the mind or body until then. Maybe, we can see if they affect yourself, others, or the setting...

It's as good a start as any. I don't know if anyone will be that willing to talk to me about their powers or teams, but I can ask.

... for what it's worth, Purple Heart has said that a lot of their powers can be seen as morally grey - could be used for good, could be used for bad. So... I need to ask the other two if they have similar themes in their powers.

[and maybe that'll help them figure out if there's any overarching ways for that. she tilts her head]

I've... agreed to ally with Yin Yu and Flayn. I intend on asking Dimitri as well.

Ash has been effective as well, and his reporting hasn't been bad...

Ash and Dimitri might be good to have on our side. Dick, too. We can trust Yasusada and Tonbokiri, but they don't always know when to keep their mouths shut. [ he says like that isn't his default setting ] I haven't spoken much with the others yet.

...Has anyone else told you their factions yet?

They haven't but... it's admittedly because I'm waiting to see if we suffered a delayed punishment for it. Purple Heart said we wouldn't, but I want at least a week to pass before I can say I'm certain and tell others. From there, they can tell me if they want to, if I report that it's fine.

[she tilts her head]

No. Most of them have been reluctant to talk about their abilities at all, without even outing the details. The rules have made most of them wary, I think.

But if we can prove there isn't a punishment, maybe that will make the difference.

... that's my hope. Magnus hates the secrets too, and I think Taako might've even been willing to show me his power if I showed him mine. Yin Yu said if I confirm there's no repercussions, he'll tell me his faction and power next week. Akira said that once it's safe, he'll tell me everything about his power - I'll do the same.

[she's been able to do a decent job of collecting information, but it's almost always at an exchange rate. she can respect it, at least.]

I'll ask them if I'll be allowed to share the information with you... but will you understand if they don't want me to?

[lili doesn't care for secrets - but she can at least understand the importance of guarding another's]

I'm not - but it's inconsistent, isn't it? But if you really buy their explanation that the scrunchies are meant to protect us... whatever.

We could - and there was a large scroll that gave us directions each week in exchange for the tasks that we completed. That's the information that we sent to all of you.

All the portals were also open to the different worlds so we could view them if we wished.
