[it's honestly probably a little later in the day that lili ends up looking for tonbokiri - sometime after when dinner would normally be consumed. she actually seems to be looking around for a moment before she spots him

and then she's marching up to him, posture regal and hair tied back with the bunny scrunchy]

Hey you. [hm] Are you Tonbokiri?

week 0, sunday

[ - and then there it is. they're unstuck, and lili is still fuming, but there's no one left to fight. there's nothing left to interrupt. she scowls, a deep and ugly thing, before turning away.

though she catches sight of tonbo when she does and just manages simply]

So? Will you help me destroy this place after we rescue everyone we need to?

[ tonbo, already fuckin exhausted by everything but Especially This, simply nods, the bow he makes barely enough to past muster ]

[ so we'll say this is sometime after announcements, tonbo has his new bumblebee friend tucked under an arm to show lili and is carrying a cup of tea with him. ]

lili-don- [ ah ] lili, are you busy?

[lili, meanwhile, is being followed by literal bees.

but she seems to be stopped for a second, hanging out by the bonfire and gingerly stretching out her legs, wincing as she does.

when she notices tonbo coming up to her, she tilts her head]

Hm... Not right now, at least. Need something?

week 1, post-trial

[oh homie she is so tired - but she's at least going to get herself some tea first. she'll make two cups before going to find tonbo, offering one out to him]

[ that makes the both of them. tonbo certainly looks like he's gone far away, contemplating life, existence, and everything in between before Lili starts him out of it.

at least he manages some semblance of a tilted smile at her when accepting the cup. ]

week 3, thursday

the rain? she could take the rain. she has no problem with the rain, given how her water tribe lands are. but snow? snow is a struggle for her and one that she's suffering under as she runs into the mess hall, shaking like a leaf.]

T-T-T-Tonbokiri, t-t-tea p-please.

[she will die actually]

[ look at that he's so startled he slipped right back into politeness. but given the sight of her, he's in full clucking hen mode, ushering her into his (warmed) seat, dropping his (warm) sweater around her shoulder, and puttering off to make (hot) tea once she's cozy. ]

week 3, post-trial

lili is going to be wandering over to you with two cups of tea. one is going to be offered out to him.]

[ idk where lili is but tonbo's just sitting in the mess hall, face in his hands. wow, guess who's really fuckin depressed today, fam!! he sure did fail all three of his cabinmates!!! ]

[ . . . she's wearing a new dress when she approaches tonbo, and she'll sit across from him. she has two mugs of tea.]

week 4, post-trial

she's going to look for tonbo. and the weird thing is that lili seems... back to normal? she's expressing emotion again, even as she comes up to him and offers up a mug of tea. she always has tea.]

.... are you going to see him?

[ well. that gets her an interested blink. did this curse also only last fifteen minutes? weird!

he does accept the tea though ]

Mm. It is the least I could do.

[ hello it's tonbo, huffing and puffing his way over? goodness, he seems to be in a rush today. ]

[early thursday! lili's going to find tonbo - ]

Hey - I'm checking between you and Dimitri. Do we have a count on how many scrunchies have turned gold?

Is yours gold yet?

I- lost count after the latest meeting. There quite a number I didn't realize.

[ haha. whoops. he got distracted with the 234543 things happening. but he holds his up! ]

But mine changed very recently. I spoke to Winter-san this morning.

week 5, friday

[well.

tonbo might have to go searching for lili - or he might just find her when she's at the bonfire, staring into it. she's a mess, of course. her eyes look red, she's obviously been crying as there are tear tracks she missed wiping off her face, and her legs look like they're suffering from reopened wounds, splotches of red on the bandages.

but she mostly looks tired and heartbroken.

when she sees tonbo approach - she nods in his direction quietly.]

[ is she? is she really? because uh. tonbo’s scuttling his way over sheepishly. too bad lili wouldn’t recognize it because it sure is some fancy footwork happening. thanks mods ]

[ he. doesn’t ask if she is alright because that’s an easy enough answer to ascertain. instead he sits and offers his quiet comfort until she is ready to speak ]

[ hello, it's tonbo.

he sets out yet another cup of tea at her side and sits back quietly until she is ready to speak. if nothing else, he will offer silent comfort at this time. ]

she's cooking in the kitchen. tonbo might recognize the smell as japanese food - a recipe kara definitely taught her.

she doesn't touch the tea.

and she doesn't speak unless spoken to.]

week 5, post-execution

[it's a while after everything is over, because she has to make sure kara doesn't bleed out.

but she'll be looking for people. she thinks she doesn't really have the right to hide her face, after being the reason why so many of them lost a dear friend. so she makes a tray of tea and searches.

and probably has to reheat the tea because she doesn't expect to find tonbo in the theater.

but she'll go to find him, and offer it down quietly.]

[ for the most part tonbo doesn't want to see anyone, having hidden away in a place little of them willingly hang in. on the other, watching those he cares strongly about on the screen is barely a small comfort in the middle of all of this. ]

It's alright.

[ his voice is rough but with his face turned towards the screen, watching his beloved there's no saying what the cause is. ]
