.... no, I don't think we need to be that extreme. We can all probably take care of ourselves.
[lili your fucking injury
anyway,]
I'm not confirming anything, I'm just complaining. [she and akira have talked about this before, and nothing's come up? but.] I'm similarly complaining and speculating that it might not have been a power that led to the footprints, but rather an item since I don't know what the winning team's gotten for the past two weeks.
Either way maybe we need to use it as an example of why we don't zero in on one bit of evidence and stop thinking about all the possible options. Which maybe we did on Saturday.
...
Also maybe we won't have to body hunt from here on out.
[ . . . right, she's just going to wave her hand.]
It's why I couldn't use my power this week, even for the stupid task. If there's any way for me to survive right now, it's to cast an illusion and take them out before they can get me. Self-defense only, but - I'm keeping it as an option.
[she'll acknowledge that much.]
We'll have to see. I can only hope that it doesn't get unruly from here. [that's. a hope.] We have to be more effective.
It might've been - but there's already been plenty of chaos.
[ . . . which. she. thinks ash knows. she sort of looks at him kind of pointedly.]
We haven't. So if you haven't and I haven't, that leaves that Black Shadows has won two weeks in a row. This week they also mixed up the prizes more - myself and someone on the same time received different useless items.
But the village was pretty decent at it, I think.... We never got one wrong. [which might've made the past weekend all the more frustrating]
Annoying. Maybe we need to check in week to week and see how the numbers are doing. We might need to balance that into a tie -- if we can trust people to go along with it.
Huh. Are any of them actually useful?
[ ... ]
That is kinda impressive. [ i was promised scapegoating and we nailed them all. ]
That's basically what the current strategy is, if who wins each week actually matters. But I'd need to find people on Shadows' team to even remotely attempt that.
[she hates it!]
It sounds like the winning team gets things that are useful - but for murder, specifically. I don't really want an item, I just want to know what they're capable of.
... and I don't know about that. We never got any wrong, but we also didn't catch every murderer each week.
For the moment having one person on two teams lets us narrow it down, at least. Maybe we'll figure it out with a bit more info or time. If we're allowed that kind of luxury.
[ bad ]
Useful, but for murder -- still sounds useless.
... But you didn't send someone innocent to die, huh?
Akira didn't tell you his team either, huh. He's really keeping it close to the chest. [damn!!!] But I don't mind - I'll tell you anything worthwhile about my team as long as you return the favor.
[it's just easier]
.... technically no, we didn't. But given the nature of corruption, everyone who attacked in the first place was still an innocent.

[ which is an annoying thought -- it'd been the pink one's task too. ] Mind if I ask if your team's "won" a week?
That's always the case. You ever start nailing these cases or was at all just wildly hoping you got it right the whole time? [ @ literally all of us ]
