Doesn’t that make an already crap situation worse? We can’t predict their actions and if someone does act at night, then we don’t really have a way of knowing if items were used and what might be missing?
...
The fact no one in Shadows’ group has been targeted kinda reeks of them being the killers so far, but ... they can’t know their whole team, can they? [ and there was all that stuff with the memorial hall and the struck through purple heart... ]
.... I don't think so. I don't know how often people are disclosing their teams to others. I think that I do it fairly often, and some people are willing to share with me without expecting anything in return, and I still only know under half of Purple and Winter each.
[which is
still not nearly fucking enough to encompass an entire team?]
Unless there’s someone out there who has the power to tell a person’s team, but wouldn’t that be like winning the jackpot. If it exists.
[ he sighs. ]
So, somehow Shadows’ team is managing to run around and specifically target the Purple team three weeks in a row - or two, I guess. I know that first kid didn’t mean to kill anyone.
Do we call that really wild coincidence, or do we start to think there’s something else going down here?
Blondy and her friend knew. I know we're trying to do the whole... have a couple of people arund to verify the powers and save people the trouble of thinking about it, but...
[ he shrugs. ]
You can put them down the list of suspects, but it does mean they were one of the few people who knew his team. Although, if you ask me, it sounds like it was more of an opportunistic case given he was awake.
A little of both, maybe. We’ve said that it’s probably impossible that someone’s worked out all the teams and who’s on what, but... it’s getting to the point that you kinda wonder.
But Blondy’s friend said that factions where they were before were taken out disproportionately there too, and there was no real purpose or malicious intent to it. Y’know, other than the part where they were killing people.
.... just bad luck, is it. I suppose that would be fitting for us.
[but she's just going to tilt her head at that question]
.... I don't know. I haven't tried. Probably as long as I want them to? But I'd only want to use the one I get each week to manipulate someone's sight enough to disorient them so I can take them out before they get me.
There are a few things I want cleared before I think we have a more complete understanding of the game.
The first is the note that Akira got on Wednesday - I want to know who it came from, and how it was passed.
The second is an inventory of all the items that Black Shadows team members could have received, so that it's easier to know by Saturday what they're capable of.
The third is for everyone to become more familiar with each other's powers and verify if they could be used in murders.
[they're not necessarily in order of importance, but they're the information she desires most?]
I still intend on finding killers we've missed - but the information is no longer readily available to us, unfortunately. So we'll just have to work backwards.
It's not impossible to figure out killers retroactively. You guys pulled it off too, didn't you? We might get items as the weeks go on that can pinpoint if someone's killed here or not.
...
Oh, the ... [ hm. ] I'm assuming he's had one note here.
Something like that. When I was frustrated about not being able to get further information about Yu's murder, I was told to look not entirely just for 'who' killed him, but 'why' as well. And that some information would be locked to me until time passed.
[so in a way? they're connected?]
Mm. But it implies the existence of other roles, too. So that's just one more mystery that I would like to solve.
... So the longer we're here the more we can find out? That works with what I remember from the mansion too.
[ ... ]
D'ya think some of these murder cases are self-defence? Yu had the power to put someone in a death-trance, if I'm remembering rightly. And we know Hikage purposely tried to stay up, and from what his little support duo said, he's the sort of person who would strike first if he felt there was an opportunity... ?
More or less - but also I think there's some kind of trend in the murders that we're not able to see because we keep... getting them wrong.
[lmao]
... I don't know. Maybe? But we don't know enough about what happened in general... Do you think Hikage could've attacked someone but then they attacked him instead? Or he thought that his power activated that week and continued as normal, but didn't realize he was actually an intended victim?
Other than all the killers likely being on Shadow's team, and the victims being on Heart's.
[ we're so good at game. ]
... Yu might've tried to use his power? I mean, if someone was in a death trance would it cheat the system into counting as a death? If he knew that, he might've tried it but obviously something went really wrong.
We’ve been told there’s no demons or possession happening to make people kill... [ .... ] Have they said anything about persuasion?
And if there are other roles, have you tracked any of them down? I know we had people back at the mansion who could track down who was and wasn’t possessed in limited numbers, so we could rule them out of our suspects list.
My only guess is that it's because if no one dies on Thursday - that means that everyone will die and our endings will be forfeit. That's... a fairly strong persuasion if you ask me.
I just don't know if someone's being assigned to kill, or if they're taking initiative on their own.
[??? like which is it. but she'll tilt her head.]
No... I haven't heard of any roles - the only hint that I have that they exist was the note that Akira got.
I'd still count that as persuasion, but doubled. There'd still be people who wouldn't kill because they don't want to. I mean, every person who goes to sleep on a Thursday and doesn't wake up during the night is one of those people, and we're all just trusting someone will kill. Otherwise, like you said, we all die and our endings are forfeit.
...
If the directors are really trying to help us... they might be organising an executioner role to give us more time. To figure out what's going on, I guess? If there's something to solve.
Mm. That's a theory that I've been rolling around - but they aren't able to confirm if that's true, so we mostly have to get something right to get an actual answer.
Kara suggested the idea that there might be people working together.... and I think that's something that we should keep in mind moving forward. Searching for more than just one person might let us reframe how the actual murder looks.
... One of the people from the castle said something like that. [ because it was belph or steph and i can't remember which or where they said it BECKS take NOTES ] They had people chosen to kill each week and if you voted one of them it counted, even if only one of them actually did the killing.
Because they agreed on the target, both were complicit.
... maybe that's it. But we don't have any way to know for sure until we find even one... and it's pretty depressing if you think about the fact that we've been missing two each week instead of just one.
You think? It's an extra pair of eyes to clear things up, and extra hands to overwhelm a target before you go on a huge runaround and leave more evidence.

I don't know. No one knew Yu's power, not even Guy, so how could the killers figure out that he was part of Purple's team?
And for Hikage... I don't think anyone really knew his power either. So would it be possible to go after them intentionally?

Blondy and her friend knew. I know we're trying to do the whole... have a couple of people arund to verify the powers and save people the trouble of thinking about it, but...

I think so - so it makes me wonder if the Purple team is being targeted on purpose or if it's just been very unlucky.
If it's on purpose... I might have to be more cautious.

So... we just keep on trying to dig up who has what powers and go from there?
