[goooood morning. lili is wandering around still hating literally everything, and she's doing her hair as she goes, fingers working the strands into a braid even as she steps around people and seems to be doing a scan of the area
she makes it up to the third deck and frowns as she sees the totally bare dart board]
Seriously...
[the single small detail here is that since wwx ran into her yesterday, she has a shallow cut on her cheek. it's fine]
[Is it really fine?? He notices that, but he doesn't say anything just yet, instead waving from where he's... lying on his back, upside down on this beanbag.]
The knives are all gone, too.
[Just in case she hadn't noticed that yet. YAY MURDER VETERANS. He's exasperated but like, in a fond way, since he still loves humans.]
[LILI. Somehow he doesn't seem too surprised?! But that's good to know.]
Taako may have one or two. He took a bunch on the ship to keep the rest of us from grabbing them, and so he could keep cooking. No idea who may have taken the darts, though.
[He hopes no one does a dart murder on a bus, god please don't be messy.]
Emergencies? If the knife gets wrestled away from me? I've killed a soldier with a sharp rock before, so I imagine if I was really desperate it'd be the same concept.
[HE STARTED FIGHTING IN A WAR WHEN HE WAS A TEEN SO THIS DOESN'T FAZE HIM AT ALL terrible.]
I think it'd be easier to just kill them with your hands if things came to that. A good strike to the right pressure point would do as much damage and be easier to get at in a high-tension state.
They can be non-lethal, but that requires a little more control over how much pressure you use and where you hit. If you want something that would incapacitate every time, a solid punch to the temple should work! Or a groin kick.
None of us asked to be the only group trapped by very virile demons, you know. [FIRST AND FOREMOST. If it was just him he would care 0% but HIS FELLOW THOTS!!]
—Anyway, I handled matters of the spirit realm. A cultivator! We take care of the undead, ghosts, things like that.
To be fair, I doubt anyone would want to openly express that sort of thing to a group of strangers, especially when we'd already assessed it wasn't a likely threat.
[THERE IS A 10 YEAR OLD HERE and even stdemons have lines they don't cross apparently. He also hates that it became a spectacle though wow can't believe Wen Ning's boyfriend ruined Wei Wuxian's opinion of him in one single outburst.]
—Immortal? [That has him cocking his head to the side, though, curious.] Some cultivators can reach immortality, but it's not our natural state. Why - do you have immortal dealings with spirits in your world?
It's vulgar, but all the yelling could've been avoided if the news came from a source that wasn't just very loud, very stupid person. [she's going to keep calling him very stupid] I can understand that some people struggle with intimate information, but it's better to get as much out on the table so nothing is left unturned, isn't it?
[she is STUPIDLY HONEST though, so ignore her opinion. the simple fact is that while she understands and feels sympathy for the poor thots, she still doesn't like critical things being left out
as for their
immortal chat she tilts her head]
... hmm, there's a cycle of reincarnation - but I think that's a bit different. No, someone just told me something that made me think immortality and cultivation were related.
Mm. I'd rather everyone just say things easily instead of thinking they need to be hidden - it was very annoying in our last experience to see just how much people were willing to obscure the truth.
[so she got ANNOYED
anyway,]
Hm.... It was something that someone told me, but it was a real pain to get him to even tell me anything - so I don't think I can tell you without blabbing someone else's business.
Haha, things would certainly be much easier if no one kept things hidden! A straightforward conversation is always the best kind.
[Does he trust it to happen here? Absolutely not but damn can he hope.
He likes her wild levels of honesty though IT'S REFRESHING.]
Fair enough! He wasn't wrong, in any case. But you do have to train quite hard to reach immortality - ah, in my world, anyway. I'd much rather explore the world and help out those who need it than seclude myself on a mountain meditating for years. That sounds horribly boring, anyway.
No, that sounds like far too much work. I thought that immortality might not be a particularly bad idea, but you would be just as out of touch with your ability to help people if you secluded yourself that long.

Manage to get any sleep?

[her hair is just suffering without a hairbrush. anyway,]
I have one knife.
[so
yea.]
I'd like to know where the others are, though.

[on that note:]
I have a dart as well.
[LILI]

[Says Wei Wuxian, the eternal chatterbox that doesn't shut up. That said, he gives Lili a curious look. A KNIFE HE CAN UNDERSTAND.]
Why a dart?

[can
people stop teaching lili things]

A good one is right here! [He turns his head a little, pointing to the area behind his ear.]
And if you manage to get close enough to someone for it, hitting upward from underneath the nose can kill someone, too.
no subject
I see...
Both of these are lethal? Do you know any that can simply incapacitate?
no subject
[TRIED AND TRUE.]
no subject
Hm... Got it.
[ . . . ]
What did you do before all this exactly? And before your [ . . . judgmental look ] boat.

[THAT'S ALL SHE CARED ABOUT
IT BECAME ONE BIG SPECTACLE]
So are you immortal then?

Well, I can't disagree with that. You're a very level-headed person! Too late to undo that mess now, but it's a good lesson moving forward, hah.
[Lesson of the day: tell people you banged demons.]
You can cultivated to immortality, so it's not an incorrect conclusion to draw, really. But what made you think of that?
no subject
Mm. I'd rather everyone just say things easily instead of thinking they need to be hidden - it was very annoying in our last experience to see just how much people were willing to obscure the truth.
